New Chair for Cornwall CAMRA

So well done and congratulations to Darren Norbury who after stiff competition became the new Chair of Cornwall CAMRA. Previous Chair, Rod Davis, was well liked and very respected with an a informal and welcoming attitude. It is rumored that Darren might buy me a pint for this, but then it might have been me who started the rumor.See More

J D Wetherspoon festival

To Spoons in Penzance, then, to see what's rolled up as part of the twice-yearly fest, and not a bad start at all. Plenty of staff, happy smiling staff, quick service and the beer not in bad nick at all. Was this JDW or Narnia?Beer of the session for me, the Moorhouse's Amber Rambler (4.8% ABV). Easy to drink, but bloody difficult to order. Try saying Amber Rambler quickly without thinking about it too…See More
